I’m not sure if it’s truly ennui, or if it’s just being overly busy with regular life stuff, but either way my brain hasn’t had much room for this part of my online life. I re-upped for another year here though so I plan on carving out some headspace.

I hope I have a few folks with this site still in their readers, so for those of you paying attention, I’m curious as to what you’d like to see from me. I’ve tackled subjects like abortion, homosexuality, and orthodoxy. I’ve also talked somewhat candidly about personal struggles, my brand of politics, and the like. Part of me feels that I’ve said it all, but I know that can’t be. I’m just too opinionated. Help me prime the pumps.

Good to see you're still online, Scott! Personally, I'd kind of like your opinions on topics such as social activism, corporate social responsibility, and the long term effects of continued exposure to giant monster movies!

I can definitely opine on all three,

How do you cope with the “evolution” and “creation” thing ? How do you teach your children about it ?

When I was a devote believer, that's something that kept tugging at my brains and nobody could offer me a suitable explanation between what the church told me and what my studies were telling me. The lack of honest answers on that subject has played a big part in my becoming an atheist.

If someone had told me that creation was a way for the human to cope with the unknown I would have accepted it. More than the stubborn dictations of the Bible. Being a geek and a christian yourself, I think you understand what I mean here in my bad english. ;)

      Bon idee.

So glad to see you sharing here Scott. Perhaps you might consider short blog posts that elicit dialog in the comment thread. In doing so you could take issues apart piece by piece instead of doing an exhaustive study on an issue. Either way, I look forward to your future bloggings.

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

I'm interested in the opinions of my friends on the Israel/Palestine issue.  I also think a re-post of your most-contested posts would be interesting

    • spiritualtramp

I think I'm pretty atypical when it comes to most Christians when it comes to this issue, so that's not a bad idea. I can also bring back some oldies and see if I've changed my views.
