I’m considering going dark for the month of November. That would be no tweeting, no blogging, only producing the two Archangel: Legion podcasts and using every spare moment 1) finishing Legion in its written form and 2) writing a second novel for NaNoWriMo.
I was listening to Mr. Kilbride interview Mr. Lowell (both worthy podcasts to subscribe to btw) and he said that for every minute he spends doing anything else is a minute that he’s not providing content. That’s a very good point. I brain dump a fair number of words/time here (in spite of what you might think) and on Twitter and on Facebook and on email and not on writing.
I mean I enjoy blogging and tweeting and emailing and facebooking, but I need to write fiction. I need to get ahead of myself and know that I’ve got words in the bank. I’m not asking permission or anything, since hey it’s my blog and everything and I’m not saying I’m going to do this but it seems like a good idea and rather than just decide I’m going to do it I need to think about it. Feedback is appreciated.
