I must be missing something, I just see one column Scott.
Although it does look much neater.

What’s your screen resolution set to?

1024 x 768, which is standard for most users. I’m using Firefox for my browsing. But when I checked it with Explorer, same thing happens.
Describe what should be in the second column. The one that shows up, has you Categories, recent comments, etc..

I only see the post column and one narrow column on the right. My res is 1024×768 and I use IE7.

You should see the column with the posts on the left 2/3s and a column on the right with the RSS widget, categories, etc.

I like the structural layout, but I’m not crazy about the white-out.

Yeah it’s a little stark. Tweaking that is harder than it should be.
