It may indeed be unfair to lump Sith in. I agree that on the whole it’s a better movie, but then there’s that whole faint praise again. And you know, by themselves the PT wouldn’t have been that bad if they stood by themselves. Okay, no wait, they would have been just as bad but they wouldn’t have honked me off so much. Why couldn’t George keep to canon? I mean there was sooooo much potential to coolness that was untapped.

That “critic” totally contradicts himself. He says Queen’s music makes FLASH GORDON “awesomely bad” then says he’s afraid of revisiting the film in case it sucks. Make your mind up, dude. It does suck, both so do many other great movies. I’ve actually been meaning to rewatch HIGHLANDER, so I think I will, and see how it is. I will say it’s annoying to see someone say “this sucks” and see the first thing on their list is the action/FX being “dated.” Reminds me of the idiots who want to see the Darth/Ben fight in A NEW HOPE redone with flippy bits like in the prequels.
Speaking of which, and specifically the line “Unless, that is, it sucks as bad as The Prequels. But what are the odds of that, really?” I still think it’s a tad unfair to lump in REVENGE OF THE SITH with the first two, as missteps aside, it’s a far better movie than some people give credit for. Also, even the suckitude of CLONES doesn’t come close to the wretchedness of TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE. It does have camp rewatchability value, but seriously, that movie is indefendable, even if it does feature members of both Monty Python and the original Star Trek cast.
Also, Michael Bay is the devil.

For what it’s worth, I think Highlander is a million times better than West Side Story.
