Save Mr, Rogers! - digg this
One of my MINE articles (please comment over there):
“Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” to be axed; YOU can help save it | MINE
If you enjoyed this entry subscribe to this blog by email or feed readerThe very neighborly Fred Rogers gave children nearly 1,000 episodes of his Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood from the late sixties until his death in 2003. While younger MINE readers may not understand the significance of his show, the twenty- and thirtysomething crowd will surely recall the PBS show, and the whimsical, heartfelt lessons Mr. Rogers gave us.
(That, and an appreciation for cardigan sweaters.)
So that’s why we were more than a little shocked when PBS recently announced that it was discontinuing its regular syndication of the program. The axe falls next next month, apparently.

I loved to watch Mr. Rogers Neighborhood as a kid. But sometimes you have to let things go and new things take there place. It's kind of the cycle of life.
He'll always live on in the hearts of anyone from our generation that grew up and watched his show.
You have a point I suppose. Still, his last show was in 2000 so he's not that long gone.
