Very nicely done. This episode brings to mind the immortal words of Dark Helmut, "Evil will always triumph because good is dumb."
Now I have to wait another week! Arg!
Which good person is being dumb?
Matt/Jose seem over-confident about their upcoming meeting and Lee is too trusting. Who would be either after an encounter with Sanders? Also, Sanders seems to be out-witting the protagonists at every turn. The only time the good guys 'won' is when they out-violenced (another made-up word!) the bad guys.
The only one acting smart is Robin and even she made a critical mistake (which negated her excellent idea). On the other hand, I'm greatly anticipating what Jose has up his sleeve. I'm hoping he's going to surprise me with his foresightedness.
Not only overconfident but also filled with thoughts of glorious vengeance. That's a dangerous combination. All the guys are acting on guts and not brains. So no promises about great plans or foresight, but we'll see.
As far as Robin goes, don't count her out. She's still in the game.
The fun thing about this is that most of these characters are WAAAAY out of their depth. They'll learn some important lessons that will come in handy for pt. two.
Sanders has the advantage of age, a complete lack of morals, and power. He has his Achilles heel to though. Any thoughts on what that might be?
I have no idea yet. Usually, when one side has all the advantages, their downfall is their overconfidence. In Sander's case, he seemed to self-doubt for awhile, so I don't think it's that. Perhaps it's mistrust of his own henchmen? Or maybe the punishment structure of his very own organization, whatever that may be.
