My seven year old daughter did this. Naturally I'm somewhat proud. She did have lines to go by, but she mixed oil pants on a palette and applied them with a knife. I see pictures of her, particularly her most recent school picture and she looks so (expletive deleted) grown up. Seeing her talents like this (first time she's picked up oils) serves as another reminder that she won't be in this house much longer. Soon she'll fly off on her own. Not as fragile as a butterfly (I hope), but every bit as beautiful.

Yeah, not ready to go that far...yet. I don't want to turn into one of those parents that thinks everything their child does is GENIUS. Unless it is, cause it totally could be.
