One Flu Over the Cuckoo's Nest - digg this
So I woke up Saturday morning feeling like crap and the rest of the weekend the same. Chills, fever, coughing, the whole nine yards and so as my clever stab at a title (stab at a clever title?) may clue you in on, I have Captain Trips. I don't feel totally crappy and the doctor said that I looked a lot better than my test results should indicate that I would (did you get that?) and I don't have pneumonia (yet). As a result though he said that I should hang out at home the rest of the week. The bad news? I have to burn the rest of my sick time. The good news? I have the sick time to blow. Had this happened last year things would not have been so nice. I may see if I can work from home some to salvage a sick day or two. In any event you can pray for my family's health should you feel so inclined. Little ones + influenza = badness.

There's a pretty resistant flu going around.
You might try Mucinex (otc expectorant), that cleared me up enough to get up and not be totally miserable.
Guinness and cheeseburgers help as well.

It seems I didn't even have to visit to spread my illness to your home... it found it's way their just fine on it's own. I hope you feel better soon and I hope you luck out and your kids don't catch it.
I'm with you. Ungh. Sick since the Super Bowl. No amount of spicy food, hot water, cough medicine or anything really helps. Even good ol' Nyquill is ineffective.
